[Product Review] Lady Gaga - Black Fluid

Stars like Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne have their own collection of scents out already. Now isn't it about time for Lady Gaga to join the "powered by celebrity" perfume world? Many have anticipated it and now it's finally out there for all the "little monsters" (that's how Gaga's fans call themselves) to enjoy it.

We all know Lady Gaga is THE woman, but even putting aside that this perfume is compounded by a world famous trendsetting and groundbreaking star, the design and the actual scent make this perfume worth a try!

THE DESIGN

Personally I think the flacon's design is very fascinating and super unique. 

The flacon itself is basically shaped like an egg. And what actaully makes the difference is the flacon's lid.

When you take off the lid you have a golden crystal claw-like thing. That's so typically Lady Gaga, I'd say. For instance she calls out to her "little monsters" to "put their paws up" in her songs.

Also the gold colour really complements the overall black theme of the perfume. In my opinion black and gold are a match made in heaven! An expression of pure sophistication.

Colour-wise Gaga did make an excellent choice - and I'm not saying this because my favourite colour happens to be black.

THE BLACK FLUID

"THIS PERFUME IS AN INNOVATION IN FLUID TECHNOLOGY. IT'S BLACK BUT INVISIBLE ONCE AIRBORNE."

That's what is written on the perfume's packaging. 

At first sight you could indeed think that the perfume would leave black stains once you spray it onto your skin. I mean, look at it: The fluid in the flacon really is pitch-black. But just as described it comes out totally clear. In other words, you got yourself your very own little magic potion with this perfume!

THE SCENT

"TEARS OF BELLADONNA

CRUSHED HEART OF TIGER ORCHIDEA

WITH A BLACK VEIL OF INCENSE

PULVERIZED APRICOT

AND THE COMBINATIVE ESSENCES

OF SAFFRON AND HONEY DROPS"

, is what the description says about the scent's ingredients. That is what I call an epic list of ingredients. Sounds more like the secret recipe of a wicked elixir. But once again that's just Gaga style and we all love her for that creepiness, don't we?

If you'd try to describe the scent in "human terms" I'd say that the perfume has an overall sweet essence (assumingly due to the apricot and honey properties). At the same time the sweetness is underlaid with a very charismatic and sharp flair. 

I got this perfume as a birthday gift from a dear friend of mine and he couldn't have pleased me any more than this! (At this point, I gotta give a shoutout to him and thank him again ;)

Anyways if you're all into the mystic, mysterious, dark kind of style - then this perfume is going to turn you into a black femme fatale.

On top of that this scent with its dark notion will have you prepared for the upcoming 

Halloween season!
