[Fashion Alert] Say Hi To The...Mustache!

STOP! No don't worry, I did NOT grow myself a mustache all of a sudden!!!

BUT I think people nowadays wouldn't even dislike it that much...because we're living in an era where mustaches are in STYLE!

Read on to confirm that I did not go nuts... This trend is FOR REAL!

When I started to notice it, it was practically too late...Mustaches have already invaded our lives!!!

When you see people with little mustache tattoos on their fingers, you KNOW it has become a popular thing!

Whoever brought this trend symbol to life is a genius! I mean, where would one get the inspiration to turn facial hair into a trend!!!!???? Think about it...it's just hair that normally grows above a male's mouth and - okay, let's not go into any more scientific details.

Anyways fact is the mustache has become a huge trend item, not by the means of growing yourself a real mustache. By "trend item" I mean this "cartoonified" symbol of a mustache:

Basically these t-shirts have the same concept: It's a shirt with the print of a celebrity having a finger in front of his/her mouth and on that finger there's a little mustache. Celebrities included are Will Smith, Johnny Depp, Rihanna, Kate Moss, Karl Lagerfeld, Megan Fox, Eddy Murphy, Katy Perry and many more.
In Germany you can get those at for example Peek&Cloppenburg. You can also order them directly from http://www.elevenparis.com. Price: 39€. I guess that is quite pricy for a t-shirt. They are available for both male and female and also not only as t-shirts but also as tank tops.
I guess it's the celebrity in combination with the mustache that make these shirts so popular. Once a friend of yours owns one, you basically want one as well! There are people who actually collect all of them.

This one is especially popular among the girls. I assume, you all know the "I [heart] London, Paris, Berlin..." shirts and now there is a version for mustaches!
At first sight this might look like a joke to others, but once they notice that they're missing out on the "mustache hype", the joke turns into a fashion statement.
A mustache print sweater is definitely not everyone's style. For all of you who like it the decent way, here's something for you:

And for all of you who have not yet found a Halloween costume: I've got the perfect thing for you. Put on these nerd glasses with a mustache attached to it and no one, I tell you no one will recognize you under this fool-proof last-minute costume! :D
In fact the nerd style goes very well with the mustache style. If you're into both then try to combine a pair of cute nerd glasses with a cute mustache necklace. That actually makes an adorably dorky  ensemble! ;)
