Today we'll be talking about a whole Designer Outlet - a paradise-like shopping destination for all of you out there who love designer brands!

Follow the jump to virtually go on a shopping tour through the Metzingen Outlets with me!

~ Mary ~

I'm lucky enough to have a Designer Outlet nearby wherever I live!
There are the Style Outlets in Zweibrücken, which is my hometown.
And now we have the Outlet City Metzingen, which is only a 20 minute train ride away from my university town. Yeesssss, I know I am a lucky girl! ^-^

Today I will take you through the Outlets in Metzingen. However you should definitely keep an eye out for the upcoming review on Zweibrücken's Style Outlets! ;)

First things first
For all of you who have never ever heard of designer outlets: Now is the time to start knowing about them! Because that is basically where huge fashion designer brands retail there collections at discount prices. You may find designer items that cost up to 70% less than they would normally cost.

Why are these items way cheaper than the regular ones? In most cases items sold in outlets are irregular, overrun or end-of-season merchandise. But that doesn't apply to all of the items. For instance you can get amazing deals on pieces that never run out of style, basic high-end pieces that you can wear over many seasons etc. etc. etc.
Fact is at designer outlets you get the chance to lay your hands on items that you might have never thought of buying because they were way too overprized in regular stores.
Sometimes there are special sales periods that cause the prices to go down even further.

And now let's get right into the Metzingen Outlets, shall we?

METZINGEN OUTLETS IN PICTURES
JACK&JONES and VERO MODA
favourite store for young people
This is the first shopping mile that you will see once
entering the main outlet area.
This mile includes e.g. BASLER, MILKA, ER&SIE, WMF
Guess what? THIS is one of the most visited stores, it seems.
MILKA. I guess everyone loves chocolate as much as clothes!

ER&SIE. The beauty&perfumes store at the outlets.

This square is where the main outlet area really starts.
As you can see in this picture, the whole outlet area exudes a modern shopping atmosphere through
its exterior design.

HUGO BOSS. A huge brand in  Metzingen. In the outskirts of Metzingen you will even find a
separate Hugo Boss outlet.
The entrance to a larger building in the centre of the outlets.
You can find e.g. ESPRIT, NIKE, LINDT in here.
This ESPRIT store is pretty spaaaaaacious! (and super crowded at all times!)
NIKE. There are 2 different Nike stores. One for males and the other for females.

This is one of my favourite spots in the outlet area. (Isn't the couple in this picture sweet? There is nothing that's more romantic than heading to ARMANI hand in hand :D) This place is a little bamboo garden surrounded by stores like
ARMANI, BURBERRY and CALVIN KLEIN JEANS.

To excite you guys even more: Coming up soon are the following hot brands

And for all of you who need a quick stop to grab some food real FAST:
McDonald's will welcome you at any time!

OTHER SERVICES OF THE METZINGEN OUTLETS
This Shuttle Bus conveniently brings you from Stuttgart to Metzingen and back every Thurday,
Friday and Saturday.

FREE WIFI
Yes! There is free WLAN in the outlet area!

For me the only down side to these outlets are there location. I don't know if it's only me but I wish they were a little bit closer to the train station. Depending on how fast you're walking (on the way back with all your shopping bags you'll be definitely taking much longer) it takes you approx. 10 minutes to find your way to the outlets. I tell you, EVERY TIME I go to Metzingen a lost person would stop me to ask for directions. Basically you have to follow the sign you see on the introduction picture I posted. However these signs are not only awkwardly small but also pretty well hidden! :/
Anyways this might be a tiny problem for those of you who go there for the 1st time.
STILL!
If you do get the opportunity to pass by Metzingen,
definitely go check out these designer outlets because they are surely worth it!
