If you have been to Germany, then you should definitely know Frankfurt am Main for its airport.
Today however, I'm going to bring you to Frankfurt's city centre - and Frankfurt's main shopping attraction!

THE SHOPPING CENTRE: MYZEIL
It's one of Germany's largest shopping centres and stands out for its unique architecture.
Labels that have their stores located in the MyZeil include: Bershka, Bench, Fossil, G-Star, Gant, Guess, Hollister, Swarovski, Vero Moda and more. Besides you can also find quite a variety of non-fashion related stores (beauty, food, sports, toys...).
I went there with two of my friends on a Saturday afternoon and we probably picked out the worst time of all. Not only is it winter, which makes all people come inside the centre in order to shop in a warm environment, it is also the start of the holiday season, which means that everyone is launching there Christmas shopping tours. And on top of that it was a weekend....all of that put together: Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper crowdy!
The architecture of the MyZeil is indeed outstanding. The glass front that is molded into some sort of swirl really looks stunning from the outside. Inside everything looks well structured and really bright due to the transparent front wall. With all the Christmas lights it looked even prettier. BUT again you couldn't really take all of it in due to the massive crowd!
Here you can see that huge glass swirl that starts at the front wall and leads all the way into the building. Whoever came up with that idea really is into futuristic design!
Of course the MyZeil is not the only shopping opportunity in Frankfurt. As the city is so big, you're also able to satisfy all your shopping desires outside of the MyZeil.
In the picture above you see an insight into Douglas. Douglas is a very popular beauty/cosmetics store in Germany. In Frankfurt the Douglas store was especially big and sparkly (they had a waterfall along one of the walls and a live piano performance downstairs!!)
All in all I must admit that I wasn't really able to enjoy all of Frankfurt's gorgeous shopping attractions. Mainly due to the crowdiness. Besides I was also on a time budget.
Still even after a short tour through the city centre, you could definitely see that Frankfurt is a good destination to go for if you're a shopaholic!
Just make sure to choose the right time for your shopping tour! ;)
